• General Warranty Term: Covers residential outdoor furniture for three (3) years from the date of initial shipment to a Company authorized dealer against defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service (certain components carry shorter coverage periods).
  
• Scope of Covered Products: Applies to all residential outdoor furniture products sold by the Company across any distribution channel.
  Exclusions: Does not apply to interior case goods, interior upholstery, electronic components, floor samples, products sold "AS IS," or minor differences between printed/online representations and the physical product.
  
• Eligibility & Termination:
  Benefits the original purchaser only for normal residential use.
  Terminates immediately upon resale, commercial use, rental, business, institutional, or any non-residential usage.
  Voided by any product modification by dealer/consumer or the use of non-Bernhardt parts.
  
• General Exclusions: Warranty does not cover damage from:
  (a) Normal wear and tear
  (b) Negligence, abuse, or misuse
  (c) Inadequate/improper maintenance, cleaning, or care
  (d) Exposure to sunlight, water freeze, fire, or wind
  (e) Exposure to chemicals or other liquids
  (f) Pets
  (g) Accidents
  (h) Any non-intended use
  (i) Commercial or non-residential use
  (j) Transportation or delivery
  
• Claim Process Requirements:
  Must be purchased through and initiated by an authorized Company dealer.
  Must include original dated proof of purchase and a brief description of the defect.
  
• Company Remedies & Options:
  Company determines coverage and repair/replacement options at its sole discretion.
  If a product is discontinued, the Company will provide a replacement of equal or lesser value.
  Repaired or replaced items are warranted only for the remainder of the original warranty period.
  
• Repair Costs:
  If covered, the Company pays costs of authorized repairs, spare parts, labor, and travel expenses for repair staff (provided the product is accessible without special expenditure).
  All repair work must be pre-authorized by the Company.
  

Specific Component Coverage Periods & Rules

• Frames (3 Years):
  Covers wood, metal, and woven frames.
  Pitting & Corrosion Exclusion: Pitting/corrosion from salt air, sea spray, or pool chemicals (chlorine) is normal and not covered.
  Wear Items: Components like chair feet are subject to wear and tear and are not considered part of the frame.
  
• Motion Pieces (1 Year):
  Covers mechanisms and motion parts.
  
• Cushions & Fabrics (1 Year):
  Covers outdoor fabrics, cushions, and slings when properly maintained and cleaned.
  Customer-Supplied Fabric Exclusion: Any Customer's Own Material (COM) submitted to the Company is excluded. Using non-outdoor-rated COM voids the entire product warranty.
  Non-Covered Fabric Issues: Mold, mildew, dirt, pollen, fading, discoloration, or deterioration from misuse, improper installation, extreme heat, direct sun, or chemicals.
  Inherent Fabric Characteristics (Not Defects): Color variations, natural graining, pilling, stretching, wrinkling, heat/sun color shifts, or relaxed washing effects (wrinkling, puckering, shade variations).
  
• Mixed Materials (1 Year):
  Covers glass, porcelain, stone, and marble against defects.
  Natural Characteristics (Not Defects): Natural pits/voids in stone/porcelain/marble (filled or unfilled) unless excessive; minor waves or movement in hand-cut/beveled mirror glass.
  
• Component Parts & Workmanship (1 Year):
  Covers hardware (bolts, wheels, brackets) and failures in stitching, zippers, sling rails, cording, buttons, or cushion foam.
  
• Finishes (1 Year):
  Covers against peeling, cracking, or blistering if properly maintained per instructions.
  Exclusions: Scratches, chips, abrasions from use, normal fading, or stain damage from spills.
  
• Natural Materials (1 Year):
  Covers wood, plant species, stone, minerals, shells, and animal by-products.
  Natural Characteristics (Not Defects): Grain/color differences, hairline cracks in highly figured veneers from natural wood tension, natural color shifts, and temperature/sunlight surface variations.
  

Legal Disclaimers & Limitations

• Limitation of Implied Warranties: All implied warranties (including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose) are limited in duration to the express warranty period for that product or part.
  
• Exclusivity: Remedies are exclusive and in lieu of all other oral, written, express, or implied warranties.
  
• Limitation of Liability: Bernhardt is not liable for any incidental or consequential damages arising from product use or inability to use.
  
• State Law Override: Some states do not allow limitations on implied warranty duration or exclusions of incidental/consequential damages, so these limitations may not apply depending on your location.
